|Why This Is Important|
The Transforming Birth Fund is committed to changing the birth experience for all women and babies in the United States so that birth is experienced as a natural and powerful event and health outcomes of mothers and babies improve.
The Transforming Birth Fund is a donor-advised fund of the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation.
The Transforming Birth Fund is now accepting proposals for its Friday, November 18th, 2016 deadline.

After eleven years and $5.5 million granted to support the transformation of the US Maternity Care system into one that supports all women with the level of care they want and need, the Transforming Birth Fund announces that its last funding cycle will be Fall 2018.
What does this mean for you?
- For those that are regular recipients of grants, TBF will phase out beginning in 2016. This means that if your proposal is approved, it is likely to be less than previous grant awards. We hope this titration gives your organization both the time and resources to plan.
- For those that are sometimes funded, or have never been funded, please continue to apply. We’ll be looking more closely than ever at your sustainability plans. Be sure to email Betsy McNamara to discuss your proposed project before applying.
- TBF at this point not interested in supporting a new initiative or project unless you can demonstrate other support that will lead it to continue without TBF support.
